Rename ```BIBTEX_DB``` to ```Bibtex Database (*.bib)``` Unless this is an issue with windows java framework features (rather than file type static names set in JabRef) Rename ```Currently unlinked files``` to ```Search results``` Rename ```Start directory``` to ```Directory``` (remove colon ```:```) Rename ```Scan directory``` button label to ```Search``` (consistent with dialog and feature title) Directory and File type controls minimum size is too large (labels disappear during resize) ```Search``` button should have a minimum horizontal size set Both triangles for each list should be located on the left (not right) Expand/Collapse triangle moves location when switching between ```Currently linked files``` and ```Import results```. Create one row for each file processes (test case: processing one file results in 7 rows, 6 of which are empty) Re-order columns (Status | File | Message) Import result list columns should be resizable Allow search results control to be minimized (on resize). ```Start directory``` and ```File extension``` controls should **set a minimum height** (overlap during resize) **Regression**: Searching for ``File extension: PDF file *.pdf`` appears not to match files in sub-directories during `Scan directory`. Testing and review items for Refactor unlinked files in PR #7209 Another option would be to automatically create these entries but create a cleanup action that automatically can remove these entries. This also would give the user the chance to move the successfully imported and linked files to a different folder before handling the failed files. I would suggest to not automatically create these new entries, but rather make it an option to be ticked in the error message for failed import dialogue. You will want to delete one of the two afterwards, which is one of the major concerns of what issue #7206 tried to address. The only problem i have is what happens if the entries that you would want to be created (e.g. It was hard for me to understand this proposal initially, but after thinking about it i think it’s a partly good proposal. If the file is not of sensitive nature, you could post it here as well. Maybe it would be good if you were to post the errors you encounter while importing. Are you saying there is no fallback even after #7206? Sorry, i have not tested, as i currently don’t know how to reproduce an error while importing. ![]()
